The iconic Roman Galleries in the city centre, 10 minutes on foot from the hotel

The architectural and construction techniques used for these galleries suggest a monument from the time of the Julio-Claudian Roman emperors (first half of the first century AD), contemporaneous with other public buildings of the Roman city of Olisipo.

The city's sewer system currently prevents access to the entire monument.

The Roman Galleries have recently been opened to the public; admission is free for one to three days, once a year at the end of summer. Access is located in the middle of Conception avenue. They can be visited by groups free of charge from 28 to 30 September, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., under the guidance of experts from the City Museum.
