Our hotel is very close to the Carmo Church Museum, 4 minutes on foot

The church of the Convent of Our Lady of Mount Carmel was founded in 1389 by Dom Nuno Alvares Pereira, Second Constable of Portugal, to commemorate Portugal's victory in the battle of Aljubarrota. It was consecrated in 1423 and gained the status of Lisbon's most important Gothic monument. Severely damaged by the 1755 earthquake, followed by a fire, it was partially renovated under the rule of Dona Maria I. It remains one of the first examples of neo-Gothic architecture in Portugal.
