Santa-Catarina, a unique panorama of Lisbon

The district of Santa Catarina is the ideal place to stay during a weekend alone or accompanied or a holiday in Lisbon. This residential area is indeed very quiet and perfectly pleasant. It offers immediate proximity to the very heart of the city, especially the Santa Catarina. The Santa Catarina is close to the 9Hotel Mercy, less than 10 minutes walk away. Easily accessible, it is one of the highlights of the city of Lisbon. A real jewel of the surroundings, don't miss its 360-degree view. The Alto de Santa Catarina viewpoint (also known as the Adamastor viewpoint) is indeed not to be missed. Here you can find the statue of Adamastor, the giant of storms, this incredible and mythical character who tended to frighten all the sailors of the 15th century. It also offers a breathtaking view of the Tagus, one of the most beautiful panoramas that the city offers. Its terrace will allow you to contemplate a breathtaking landscape, including a view over the port of Lisbon, the Tagus estuary, from the 25th April bridge, to the silhouettes of the houses in the famous São Paulo district. We advise you to go there during the day to rest while enjoying the panorama, take some pictures and watch the cruise ships pass by, or, in the late afternoon or early evening, to enjoy an unforgettable sunset over the Tagus, but also the docks or the April 25th Bridge. Much appreciated in the summer season, this viewpoint offers a particularly relaxing atmosphere. The pretty little garden and its terrace at the kiosk seems to incite you to stay more and more. You can listen to music, let your conversations go, have a drink with your friends and prolong this pleasant moment until nightfall, while admiring the different lights of the city in broad daylight, as if under a starry sky.
